    The Teacher's Village launches

    A digital community and learning platform for Zambian educators: mobile, off-grid and web technologies that distribute educational materials, support teacher growth and offer remote tutoring.
  • 2019

    MEM Edtech Solutions is founded

    Born from classroom experience in rural Western Province, MEM began with one guiding question: does this actually solve a problem for a real person, in the environment where they live and work?
  • 2020

    Injini Zambian EdTech Sprint Week

    Selected to participate in Injini's Zambian EdTech Sprint Week, run in partnership with BongoHive, sharpening the platform's relevance for Zambian classrooms.
  • 2021

    Full company registration

    MEM Edtech Solutions & Consultancy is formally registered in Lusaka, expanding into consultancy, teacher training and digital transformation.
  • 2022

    Injini recognition and growth

    Selected among 10 African startups for the Injini Virtual EdTech Bootcamp and won the R5,000 cash prize at the Injini Virtual Pitch Event, with Injini reporting 800+ users on the platform.

    MIT Solve Global Learning Challenge

    The Teacher's Village was submitted to the MIT Solve 2025 Global Learning Challenge, taking the Zambian model of AI-driven learning and offline Smart Solar Media Units to a global stage.

    Building the AI-native education ecosystem

    Developing Teacher T, our AI lesson-planning companion aligned to the Zambian curriculum, expanding Smart Solar Media Units for schools beyond the grid, and deepening recognised CPD work through rural pilots like Sitangamanyanga Primary School.
